Kitap ilk olarak 1995\u2019te yay\u0131mlan\u0131yor ve 1996\u2019da da Yunus Nadi \u00d6yk\u00fc \u00d6d\u00fcl\u00fc ile ta\u00e7land\u0131r\u0131l\u0131yor. \u00d6yk\u00fclerinde kad\u0131n\u0131 evrensel anlamda bir -de\u011fer-e d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcrken kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 y\u00f6ntem, kad\u0131n kahramanlar\u0131n\u0131 mitik \u00f6zelliklerle donatarak destans\u0131 bir esinti yaratmak. Ayk\u0131r\u0131 \u00f6rneklerden se\u00e7iyor Kutlu, kad\u0131nlar\u0131n\u0131. Yaratarak ya da yok olarak ama muhakkak boyun e\u011fi\u015flerinin ard\u0131nda \u00e7elik gibi direnerek kendi \u00f6yk\u00fclerini yazan kad\u0131n soyunun motiflerini kat\u0131yor edebiyata. Bu motifler k\u0131rsal, k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck kentsel ya\u015fam\u0131n son derece ger\u00e7ek\u00e7i yans\u0131malar\u0131 olup, dikiliyor kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131na okuyucunun. Yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 destans\u0131 esinti kimi zaman kuvvetli bir yele d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcyor ve kat\u0131yor \u00f6n\u00fcne kad\u0131n\u0131n ac\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 bir r\u00f6lyef gibi belirginle\u015ftiren; tarihi, t\u00f6reyi, erke\u011fi&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>O, hayat\u0131n yap\u0131s\u0131na erke\u011fin erki-kad\u0131n\u0131n ac\u0131s\u0131 cephelerinden bakm\u0131yor. Haklar\u0131n\u0131 cengaverce m\u00fcdafaa eden Ay\u015fad Bahu ise \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde bile yal\u0131n b\u0131rakmaz onlar\u0131 yaln\u0131z selvinin alt\u0131nda.
